Well, I guess most Japanese brands are eliminating the smell for the products.

I think the sunblock smells refer to .."Coppertone" !?!? the ones that I use when I was a kid in those red/green or brown bottles............

i think it is actually scientific. something about pheromones and evolutionary psychology, but cosmo and other magazines like to dumb it down too much into "romantic" generalizations.

i probably read it in the david eagleman's "incognito" some other book. pop science can be good, trashy magazines remain useful for trashy purposes only.
